On 1st December 2021 at the Ruđer Bošković Institute and the Faculty of Science – Department of Physics, University of Zagreb was held field visit to final beneficiaries (Principal Investigators) within the Tenure Track Pilot Programme (TTPP) funded within the Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Programme, managed by the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds. Participants in the field visit were representatives of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds (National Coordination Unit), Croatian Science Foundation (Executive Agency) and Ministry of Science and Education (Intermediate Body).
Three projects were contracted within the Tenure Track Pilot Programme. Projects are being implemented in the period from 2019 to 2024.
During the field visit, first meeting was held at the Faculty of Science – Department of Physics with Mr. Kosuke Nomura, Principal Investigator and his research team in the project “Exotic Nuclear Structure and Dynamics” worth 1.071.429 CHF. Next two meetings were held at the Ruđer Bošković Institute as regards the project in the field of biology – “Evolution in the Dark” worth 1.081.508 CHF with Principal Investigator – Ms. Helena Bilandžija and her team as well as the project in the field of physics – “Mining the Variable Sky” worth 1.029.350 CHF with Principal Investigator – Mr. Lovro Palaversa and his team.
Principal Investigators and members of their research teams presented project objectives, expected results, activities implemented so far and planned activities until the end of the project implementation. Visits to scientific laboratories were also held.
