The Framework Agreement on the implementation of the second Swiss Contribution for the period 2019-2029 between the Republic of Croatia and the Swiss Confederation was signed on 18 October 2022.

The Framework Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Swiss Federal Council on the implementation of Switzerland’s second contribution to selected EU Member States for the reduction of economic and social inequalities within the European Union entered into force on 17 May 2023.

This achieved the preconditions for the use of a further CHF 45.7 million under the 2nd Swiss contribution.

Implementation period is until 2029.

In principle, the programmes are financed 85% from the Swiss contribution, while 15% of the national co-financing needs to be provided by beneficiary institutions.
