Eurostars is a research and development programme created as a joint initiative of EUREKA and the European Commission, encouraging small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to collaborate with international partners in launching research and development (R&D) activities.
It is part of the European Partnership for Innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and the Research Programme Croatia. The partnership is co-financed by the European Union through Horizon Europe. The Research Programme Croatia is funded from resources of the second Swiss Contribution to selected member states of the European Union for reducing economic and social inequalities.
HAMAG-BICRO regularly publishes calls for international collaborative projects in the Eurostars-3 – European Partnership on Innovative SMEs/Eurostars program.
During the Call 8 for which the deadline for full applications was in March 2025, a total of three (3) Croatian companies were successfully evaluated at the European level in competition with applicants from 37 countries. Based on the signed contracts, HAMAG-BICRO will allocate a total of 500,000.00 EUR in non-repayable funds from the Eurostars programme to small and medium-sized enterprises.
The contracts were handed over to the entrepreneurs by the President of the Board of HAMAG-BICRO, Mr Vjeran Vrbanec, and the Deputy President of the Board, Mr Ante-Janko Bobetko.
