EUROSTARS – Field visit to final beneficiaries, 13 April 2022

On 13 April 2022 field visit was held to final beneficiaries within the EUROSTARS project funded under the Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Programme. Participants of the visit were: representatives of the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation in the Republic of Croatia, representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and EU funds in the role of the National Coordination Unit and representatives of the Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation and Investments (HAMAG-BICRO).

Field visit included following beneficiaries: companies Bella Software d.o.o. and Robotiq.ai d.o.o., both from Zagreb. On that occasion, members of the project teams briefly presented projects objectives, implemented activities and achieved results.

Within the project “MINI HR” in the field of electronics and ICT (beneficiary: Bella Software, d.o.o.) wearable devices in the form of bracelets of high precision and reliability that monitor health conditions by using built-in sensors were developed. Participants of the visit had the opportunity to try these devices. The aim is to identify timely health conditions and possible occurrence of stress-related diseases. In addition to bracelets, accompanying application was developed that processes data based on algorithms powered by artificial intelligence, which provide relevant information. The value of the project is CHF 150,000.00 and it was implemented during three years (in the period April 2018 – April 2021).

By using artificial intelligence as a part of the project “Robotic Process Automation (RPA)” (user: Robotiq.ai, d.o.o.), software robots are being developed that can successfully search and analyze data and prepare reports. In repetitive task-based business processes, software robots can replace up to 90% of human labour and can perform tasks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This functionality should result in significant competitive advantage for the company Robotiq.ai and its products and services on the market – software robots developed through this project will enable significantly faster data processing and faster business processes. The value of this project is CHF 200,000.00 and it is implemented in the period of two years (April 2021 – March 2023).

Total allocation of the EUROSTARS project is CHF 1,176,471.00, with a Swiss contribution of CHF 1,000,000.00. So far, 8 sub-projects were contracted within the EUROSTARS. These sub-projects are being implemented in the period from 2017 until 2024. So far, 4 sub-projects were completed and 4 sub-projects are still in implementation.
