On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, the Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Nataša Tramišak held a working meeting with the delegation of the Swiss Confederation led by H.E. Ambassador Georgieva Regamey. During the meeting, special focus was on the second Swiss contribution and future joint activities since Swiss Parliament agreed to approve the second cohesion contribution, which will make 45.7 million Swiss francs available in the next perspective, on 30 September 2021.
The meeting was held as part of a three-day technical mission which took place from 4 to 6 October in Zagreb and Gorski Kotar.
It was an opportunity to present the current status of projects in implementation within the first Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Programme to donors and the priority thematic areas within the future perspective: water and wastewater management including sustainable energy measures, research and innovation, financing of micro, small and medium enterprises, projects in the field of health and social protection.
During the technical mission, the Swiss representatives together with the representatives of the National Coordination Unit, Hrvatske vode and the representatives of the beneficiares, Komunalac – vodoopskrba i odvodnja d.o.o. visited three infrastructure projects in implementation, worth 25.4 million Swiss franc. Through this projects improvement of the water and wastewater infrastructure in the area of the Delnice, Fužine and Brod Moravice will be conducted.
